Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

iCOVER respects the privacy of visitors to its web portals and platforms (collectively the “Platform”). iCOVER Cookies Policy (the “Cookie Policy”) describes the information that we collect by automated means through the use of automated information gathering tools, such as cookies, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

/ WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small pieces of information or text that are issued to your computer or other device when you visit a website and are used to store or track information about your use of the site. Cookies are widely used by online service providers to facilitate and help to make the interaction between users and websites, mobile apps and online platforms faster and easier, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by us are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by 3rd parties are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the Platform (e.g. analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognise your computer or device both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

/ OUR USE OF COOKIES

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons.

Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Platform to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. From time to time We or third parties may serve cookies through our Platform for analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

    • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Platform. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Platform, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.
    • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors/users and to see how visitors/users move around our Platform when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Platform works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
    • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our Platform. This enables us to personalise our content for you or remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region) and save credentials.

Enabling cookies other than the strictly necessary ones is not strictly necessary for the Platform to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, as mentioned below.

/ YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLLING COOKIES

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer/device and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit the Platform and some services and functionalities may not work.
